Cauzin Softstrip Reader – Manuals, Software, etc

The Cauzin Softstrip Reader was an early attempt to automate data acquisition – in this case, program listings – through the use of a barcode reader. Like the much reviled CueCat reader released the following decade, Cauzin published barcodes in computer magazines. The difference was that the Cauzin’s Softstrips were actual computer program listings that were decoded to executables when scanned; CueCat was an excuse to gather and sell customer information under the guise of simplified shopping.

With the included software, you could also generate barcodes for your own programs.
