Welcome to NAUG’s AppleWorks Forum Archive. On 12 May 2008, I received permission from Warren Williams and Cathleen Merritt of the National AppleWorks Users Group to scan and post all of the back issues of AppleWorks Forum, the newsletter of NAUG. A big thanks to Warren and Cathleen for giving their permission and making all this possible.
Note that the scans on this site do not include anything from AppleWorks Journal, which covered the Mac version of AppleWorks, only AppleWorks Forum which was for the Apple II.
When I started scanning in 2008, I’d just recently finished the 89-issue run of Computist magazines and assorted related materials and I was still of the mindset that smaller=better when it comes to downloadable documents. This means that the first five and a half volumes or so, are scanned as black-and-white line art and compressed as much as possible. The resulting files are typically between one and five megabytes and, let’s face it, terrible to look at. There are a few larger ones scattered throughout those early volumes; these were contributed by (among others) Bill Martens of Call-A.P.P.L.E. and are in need of clean-up.
So for now, consider these as placeholders until I can replace the PDFs with higher-quality files.
NAUG on Disk
When NAUG closed its doors in 1995, there were a total of 66 published issues of “NAUG on Disk”. You can download a .zip archive of images of the entire collection here (31.9 MB). This doesn’t include the 400+ supplementary AppleWorks library disks they offered.
Hugh Hood contributed a complete article index created using a TimeOut utility he wrote. Thanks Hugh!
Download each volume of NAUG as a separate .zip archive. Single-issue downloads are available below.
The zip files will be updated as missing issues are added and low quality PDFs are replaced with improved scans.

Please note: you are free to repost on your own site nearly everything you find on apple2scans.net. The AppleWorks Forum files don’t fall into that bucket of fun. Currently, only apple2scans.net and callapple.org are legally licensed by NAUG to publicly host and distribute AWF files and related materials. If you find them elsewhere, they are in violation of copyright. If you decide to host them anyway, you’ll probably get an email asking you to remove them.
