Downloaded the “dec83lo.pdf” in GoodReader on my iPad, and the text is clear, no miss-recognitions/scans in the pages I looked at. Graphics are clear and readable. All in all a great job of scanning and composition. Filesize is acceptable, considering that there are 420 pages in this issue, and for my needs, this “lo res” version is more than acceptable.

I agree that a “hi res” scan is desirable from an archival perspective, and I especially appreciate the effort that you’ve gone too, to do the original scans as 600dpi TIFFs.

As the family archivist, I do mine as 800dpi TIFF, but then I’ve never needed to scan a 420 page document.

Looking forward to the posting of the other issues!!!!

I really appreciate the hi-res (archival?) quality scans, but maybe a Low-res version as well. I’d be making a low res version to load onto my iPad for reading anyway, so here is link to the version I created in Acrobat 8.
